Ok so as many of you may know I've recently relocated to Bullhead City. Well I'm all over that now. I've been offered an aerospace/defense job in Brea. Great, good money and full bennies BUT I dont know if I can afford to live there. So I'm looking for a place either a room or house where I can park boats n shit. A room would work for now, I have a few more months paid up on the river house so my stuff can stay there for a while.
-
You'll have a better chance of finding a house with some space in the Inland Empire but the drive to Brea will suck.
I'm in the Redlands/Yucaipa area and like it for its central location (1hr to Big Bear, 1hr to beach, 3-3 1/2 to the river)...
-
I live in Brea, love it here. It can be a little bit pricey, but not too bad. I'm paying 2100 a month rent for a 4 bedroom house with a big ass driveway.
-
What company if ya don't mind me asking ???
-
Its called Encore Composite Structures off Central and Puente. Gotta do the whole background check and all that....drug test. I quit smoking about a week ago.... 76 arent you right there off Tamarack?
-
There are some out door storage places that I keep my shit at for $150 a month for 45feet. It's in brea off lambert and berry.
-
Thats VERY close to work. Kinda leary about storing Sanger with blower and Mag. Is it just you or do you have a family? Wouldnt mind getting a nice crib with another guy or two.
-
Also could keep riv house for a weekender, scjb party spot. Its $425 a Mo and has a 24x24 garage.
-
Ya I used to be at the apartments at Central and Tamarack, but moved to a house near the downtown
-
Where at in Brea? Older house or new? I grew up in Brea, went to school there.
-
$2100 a month buys nearly $400K in house. I would think you could find something. Maybe look in Chino, still a lot of kinda rural properties and you can sneak in through Carbon canyon instead of the 91. i have been looking for a 4 bedroom house with property in Corona for quite a while for under $300K and haven't been able to find much. Good luck.
-
Older house, Birch and Poplar. My daughter is a senior at BOHS. Bitchen neighborhood.
-
I moved into this house 4 or 5 years ago when rent and housing was sky high here in the OC. My rent hasn't gone up since I moved in
-
I just cruised yer hood. NO FUKIN WAY I could afford to live out there. I may work there a few months sleeping in the truck.
-
Jesus H christ, what do you do for a living? Not gonna happen on an aircraft tooling makers wage.
-
Look around in La Habra
There are some good areas with good size lots
-
Lookin at motor homes now, and a place to park. Houses are 2-3 G's, Apts16-2400 You have GOT to be BULLSHITTING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Thats more than my house payment on two and a half acres!
-
Coming from someone who almost drives all over LA, OC, IE for work, on a regular basis, in the heat of traffic, you are no more than an hour and 30 Minutes from home.
That's standard issue drive time for me so traffic don't bother me.
The Rancho Cucamonga to Brea drive in nasty traffic os an hourd.
There are side streets from here and that takes about 45your minutes.
Just my. 02¢…

To stay behind the Orange Curtain you are guaranteeing yourself those prices. $200K ? Mmm not likely. Helll Lake Matthews bare land and a mobile is gonna run that but you get the big lot. Probly 80K an acre. And a death crawl of a commute. O.C. taxes are killer too. Bloomington, Colton, Rialto all have large lots often near the frwy but again under $200K is gonna be tough and still be safe at night. The 10 and the 60 both run towards Brea pretty good in the morning, going west Dunno about the 57 when you get down to Diamond Bar area.

I work in Brea off tamarack. I wanna live in Brea too

Where are you living now and do you have a family or is it just you? My job is near tamarack. For three years rent in OC I could buy a house in Vegas. I'd need to make $40 an hour to live out there.
-
I have always wanted to move from Phoenix to OC cause I am freakin sick of the dam heat and a few other things I wont mention but its suddenly looking better to me all the time. Before I bought my last house I was renting a 2000 sq ft with 3 car garage and I thought 1200.00 a month was bad. Deep down inside I would still love to live out there ;)
-
Ya the 57 from the 60 south sucks, but ya can get off on Brea Canyon and bypass all that seeing as all you would just need to get to Central ave. And a nice drive also

I'll bet it hasnt gone down any either. When I moved into my two story 3br+loft 2.5 ba house in Vegas it was 14 after things took a shit we asked the LL to lower it so it went to 13. Still too stiff so we split. Now renting for 12. I mean shit, when I rented it it was a 300g house now 120,000. You can buy a decent house out there for 75, like I said about three years rent in Da OC. I left OC in'90 cuz we couldnt speak the language any more and then you couldnt GIVE away a house.
-
Dang Terry, ya have a bad taste for the OC or what O0
-
Well shit man, I came out for interviewsand look for housing. EVERYTHING is sky high but the wages. Who left the door open at the border? How do they live here? 27 to an apartment? This aircraft job would only pay about half the rent on a nice house. I just dont see how people can live here unless theyre a nuclear physisist, rocket scientist or a brain sergeon. if you made twenty bux an hour over here yer gonna be sleeping in the park. Am I not seeing things right? Please inlighten me, thats why I asked for help
-
I gotta say Terry it is expensive out here. We bought our house back in 96 so we are in pretty good shape as far as a mortgage payment goes. Most of my employees live in apartments and are paying around $1500 a month for a 1 or 2 bedroom. Crazy!!! I think if you get out from behind the orange curtain and fight the traffic or get on the outskirts of Orange County you might be able to find something. Good luck to you and if I hear of anything I will let you know.

Thanks Fly. was your name Bob? Sorry guys, just very aggrivated and discouraged. I could buy a motorhome or trailer does anyone have or know of a place to put one on the cheap? I found a contractors yard in Carbon Canyon for 800, llittle too steep. I just dont want to sit and go broke in Bullhead and get stuck. I have money to get a place just dont want to work just to pay two three four thousand in rent. Cant buy anything because of work history with a 780 credit score.

Just bought a house in Ontario off the 10 Fwy and Euclid. 995 sq ft. Large back yard. Long drive way. Large single car garage. All upgrades done. 215,000. I work in Commerce near east La. I currently live on Pomona. 45 min drive but i work graveyard.
