Anyone/everyone here about ammo regestering(sp?), sounds like all non regerstered ammo(including hand loads) buy like 2011.

http://ammunitionaccountability.org/legislation.htm, let me know if that doesn't work. I haven't read it all yet but I think it said it will be in 18 states and all ammo after june of july this year will need to be registered.
Looks like cali is 1st up (as usual) house bill # 997 carried over from 2007

I know this smacks of BigBrotherism but why is it a big deal? If you are shooting legally then no biggie. If you are out in the hills you should be picking up your spent brass anyway. If you are planning to kill someone, ya better pick up your brass to hide any DNA evidence because you were too stupid to wear gloves. If they actually marked the bullet and not the shell, barrel rifleing and distortion from hitting the target are going to destroy serial numbers.
Other than it will probably be a justification to raise prices, what is everyone worried about? You register the cars you guy do your drive by shootings from don't you? O0

#1 It's just the start. #2 reloading the way I read it becomes illegal. Not a huge deal for me, I don't shoot that often. My bro does the ammo for his weatherby 30-378 mag are like 6 bucks a shot. The point is (for me) is that the existing gun laws are useless because all(at least most) of the weapons used in crimes aren't legal/registered in the 1st place. Why add more laws that only will affect law abiding citizens. (criminals won't care)

this is the best point right here.....yeah, it might inconvenience criminals, but it puts a much LARGER strain on the general population who abide the law.
i grew up around guns and my father did some of his own loading. i do respect gun ownership rights, but dont agree every dick, mary and bob should own one.

Enforce the laws on the books! Don't spend tax payer money on new laws. So stupid. I may be a redneck, but I shot a couple of hunderd rounds at the range this weekend. Good family fun. No criminals were there. They don't care about gun laws. THEY ARE CRIMINALS. Find them and don't fuck with law abiding gun owners. Gun control is for Hitler's Germany or Stalin's Soviet Union, not America! Check your history.
Million's of guns are in America. But most of the gun violence is carried out on gang members and criminals by other criminals. Rarely are innocents caught in the crossfire. States with gun control have more gun violence than states with concelled carry laws. Go figure. When criminals know the population is not armed, they have the advantage. Again, stupid!
