Title: Hey Hotrod
Post by: old rigger on May 30, 2007, 06:53:54 PM
someone posted this old ad over on the HB board. Thought you'd get a kick out of it as it's the same hull that you gave me that tag off of. Kinda funny, they mis-spelled Schusters name at the bottom of it. The pictures were shot down at Marine Stadium and the guy driving the boat was one of the foreman's that came on after the sell to Bell, but I'll be damned if I can remember his name right now. I never worked for him, he was up front in the showroom area. Damned continually depleting brain cells.

That's awesome. That interior space was HUGE. Cool ad.   ;D

Amazing. Roostwear's been gone for this long and my graphics still wind up on the boards somehow

Yeah there was a lot of room in those things, back to back bench and jumps by the engine cover and you could hold a family of 8 or so.  ;D Looking back I should have picked up that hull from you for a project down the road. I could have stashed it at the cabin for a rainy day. But this is the one I'm really waiting for, same bottom with taller sides and little different deck. Only seen 3 or 4 over the last 30 years, so I might be waiting a while.

I have a 73' Schuster for sale...  It is hull, gauges(removed) berkley pump, and fair/poor condition interior.  It was stripped for painting/gel  and still sits at the guys house that is supposed to do it.

Hey The Chaz, my yard is full and I'm picking another one up on Saturday. Another one saved.   ;)

That's a cool and very different hull. Looks like it could cruise to Catalina with those high sides and the entry rake ( ? ).   ;D

...

Is there a plate at the center of the stern, right above the transom? If you look under the bow, from underneath the dash, is there a black Roman number 2 in the fiberglass?
What model Berkeley pump??

It is in Oceanside at the moment, next time I go up that way I'll check out the details.  This is how it looks right now, minus the trash inside.
