how i would have loved to be around in them days!!!! that is way cool!!!! i remember watching something on them guys sitting there mixing up their nitro in glass beakers n shit that is freaking way cool!!!!!! i got a half ass collection of some of them cars made by racing champions from the late 80's i shoulkd dig them out!!!!!

yeah i remember as a youngster watching the match racing with rat trap and winged express and i couldnt get enough of it...a couple years ago i was fortunate enough to meet 2 guys who own a hondo t-deck that is also named rat trap...cool part it that they took out a photo album of rat trap the altered and this hondo being painted at the same time they are identical twins...however the hondo is chevy powered and rat trap of course is mopar powered...the boat is basically barnyard stored at an undisclosed locaation and in its original condition from 30 years ago and it very well maintaned i love seeing the boat and wish i could own that part of history...to be 6 years old again running around the drag-strip

WOW those pics of the VELS ford drag car brings back memories i got to sit in that thing as a teen i shaged parts at that dealer all the time and also did some yard work at parnelli jones house at one point Use to watch PJ JONES AT ascot raceway back then graet pics

Hafta get my Ma to drag out the old 5x7 or so pictures I have of the 'Back in the Day" Pro Stock and Funny Cars from a collection of them I have had in storage there for over 25 years! Should be easy to get digi scans of them once I have them in hand.

Absolutly. Even back then as like now every couple years it's a new car. Accept in Forces case every couple runs. I have a set of pistons and rods out of Don Prudholm's car before Dixon took the seat, I'm sure the car is long gone but , they're out of D H's Top fuel car. I spent four days in his pit in Seattle. I was at work one day at the rod shop and one of my bosses golf partners walks around the '55 I was working on and says, "HI, i'm Kenny Bernstein", I'm like yea no shit. I've met him before but years ago. Another time I was talking to a dude out front and he kept looking over my shoulder and finaly says, " You're Joe Amato", He goes yea. So anyway, I got them to sign a couple of rods I had left.
