Title: Highway 10 closed
Post by: seapat on July 20, 2015, 11:44:07 AM
Wow , bridge collapses near dessert center, Rice road. All you guys going to Parker or Blyth need to re route. Parker bound can always take 62 twenty nine palms. Scenic but not as direct. Still faster than the 40 to Parker.
I'm waiting to hear any horror storys of guys coming back from river. Big time delay, nightmare.

I came home from blythe last night. We left blythe around 6 and hit all the traffic. I got turned around and headed back to blythe around 11. There were reports of the 78 being flooded and the 62. Chp wasn't sure what was open 100 percent. I called around midnight and they finally opened up 62. Took 62 home along with everyone else and got home at 445 this morning. It's a shitty drive right now anywhere. If you are going to blythe my suggestion would be down the 86 to 78 come in from the bottom. It's flatter and alot easier to tow

You know what I don't understand is this. A couple of years ago the bridge going over the 60 fwy was burned so bad due to a tanker fire. They had that bridge fixed in a matter of months. Why can't they do the same with this bridge? Way too much commerce coming thru that way.
