As you Folk might Imagine I/we tow alot of boats each week, around the lot in and out the shops and occasionally home and back for assorted reasons. Friday I took the freeway to the shop (usually thru town), second speed bump in my driveway this happened ! Guys check your hitches and saftey chains REGULARLY!! Kind of looks like a cannon round huh, thats the trailer hitch head rammed thru my license plate!! lol ....Tom
just happy it didn't happen on the 101 freeway!

oh man, i have seen the ass end of some trucks and suv's really jacked up be lucky it was only the plate and was that a distortion cover on the plate so you cant get a pic of plate when runnin the red lights O0 O0

heres a pic i took a while back on hwy 95 this guys boat came off and crossed all lanes of traffic before jumpping into a dirt field sorry for the crappy pic its off my cell phone

OUCH! Tom, did the coupler come undone? That reminds of a time I was towing a bobcat to a job site, looked up in time to see the trailer head off the roadway and into a storm drain sump! United Rents wasn't very happy about that! I'm just glad it was thier guy that hooked it up. Any damage to the boat?

Actually that hitch head was one with a little doohicky lock tab device (you can see it in the reflection) anyhow when the cust came to pick up his boat I hooked it back up ,the "horsed up' on it and sure as spit it came off again (sent him home with a bungees wrapped around it and a promise he'd get it fixed. Lucky ,too bad for dmv maybe I can get one of those cool plates like "jetboat1' ??

H2 re distortion cover? Ive heard there illegal but I got them on all my vehicles ,have yet to be harrassed. not a big fan of being cop stopped. Just listened to that cam video. I woudl be willing to bet that cop could lose his badge over that one!
