Title: How do you know when?????
Post by: skee on March 23, 2008, 09:02:07 PM
How exactly do ya know when a hull/boat is not worth investing more money into?? Should I save the drive train and get a new hull, even though I have a Jacuuzi pump? Or should I just sell it to the next guy that has more money and or time than me?  :banghead:

I like the boat! I just dont have a lot of money or the place to do the work. I can do the work myself, but I live in a condo and am not aloud to do most thing's here. I rebuilt the Jacuzzi last summer (stock for now) Thanx to the help of Tom @ JBP. But I have other issues..I was in hurry when I  bought it and didnt check it out the way I should have. I do know a bit about boats and automotive. I have owned, this is my 9th boat, but after my divorce i went for awhile without a boat and got in a hurry to buy this one cuz it was cheap. 78 18 1/2 Challenger,BBC,Jacuzzi. I recently noticed that the grate "skaggs on the hull" are extremely worn/possibly broke than worn. What will it take for me to replace this? Do I have to remove the pump completely from the hull?? How much is something like this to replace? Like i said,I have had many boat's but I never had one with this thing worn like this! DAMN! I should have checked this thing out more before I handed the guy 2 grand!  Anyway Guy's... Any response/help will be appreciated!                                    8)

There's nothing left to sharpen on one of 'em... And the boat has an actual "pull" on accelleration! Upon accelleration the steering wheel will actually pull to the left. Only "during" accellertaion tho. In a "cruise mode" it doesnt pull....   :banghead:
