Hey Guys I posted this over at RD's, but thought it deserved a spot here as well! O0 The story goes:
My coworker Michele is down doing a sea trial Saturday in Long Beach at Davies launch ramp! She snaps these shots of pure launch ramp stupidity! She says that the boat fell off the trailer as they were backing it down, so the Skipper decides to use the trailer to now PUSH the "beached whale" down the launch ramp, in hopes of hitting water She said the sound of fiberglass to asphalt was unbearable! Check these pics out!

wow......too many beers out fishing?! wow.

Oh crap
-
wow :o

The stupidity that a human can do just amazes me sometimes! Just when you think you have seen it all, here comes Captain Dipshit!
-
All they had to do is wait for the tide to come in!! You can tell by the bridge in the back ground it was low tide!
-
Ya its a steep ramp there, but lookin at the pics it was at very LOW tide, fool shoulda waited it would have floated :screwy:
-
kyle and i were looking at this and started talking about how the hell this happened....
maybe he hit the brakes hard and the stern of the boat hit the ground and like an idiot he pulled foward dropping it all the way off the trailer.
also, how come the thing isnt laying on its side? with that deep v, it should be on its side...not propped up like that.
maybe if there was some different angels, it would explain better.
-
that was the other thing I was wonderin myself, that sucker should have rolled. A shot from the other side would maybe explain a little, also kinda find it peculiar that there is NO one around it. Maybe a pic of them pushin it with the trailer might shed some light also. ::) ::) ::)

I just spoke with someone there that saw the beginning. What happened was that they goosed it on pulling it out, thats when it slid off. They definately pushed it down with the trailer. You can see the gelcoat still on the ramp as of today when I was down there. Not sure about the rolling over part, but the Polars I believe do have a flat area on the keel. Have to check into that. This was right after it happened, you can see the strap all the way out.
