I was cruising around parker, doing about 2500-3k rpms... id figure 35-40mph and all the sudden it felt like the pump was slipping. i noticed the temp started to creep up and so i found a little patch of beach and pulled up. reached in under and there mustve been a 2 foot ball of seaweed stuck in my grate.
Do you guys suck up stuff all the time or is it just me? This is like the 3rd time I've sucked stuff up to the point where I have to stop and yank it all out. i would figure going that fast that it wouldve blown off of my grate, but it was stuck in there.

Happens every time I've been to pirates cove.. and I have a lot of their tee shirts.
I wish my pump was set back and had the hand hole on the outside.

Parker was bad last weekend lots of stuff in the water sea weed etc, usually I'm in Blythe and never suck stuff up my buddy did a number on his last weekend in Parker, fairly new to the jet boat world felt he needed to break his pump in with some rocks From river island lagoon. Had to put it on the trailer and luckily he has a set back jet so inspection was easy to pull. I'm with big Johnson I wish I had a set back pump.

Happened to me once this season, launched at havasu marina then cruised thru london bridge channel, once i got on the lake punched it the ass end of the boat just lifted, beached it the entire grate was covered.

Can't remember the last time I had to go under and pull the weeds out. I'm on the strip all the time. Guess I know where the weeds are.
Going fast simply sucks the weeds in tighter.
