Ok, heres the deal. We were out at mead two weekends ago, hydraulic diverter stopped working toward the end of the day. No big deal made it back put the boat on the trailer. So i have the toggle switch and when i would push up or down i could hear the solenoids clicking but no motor movement. Called place diverter and they sent me a new pump, got the new one in. Up worked fine, down no movement, no solenoid click or anything. Checked power and im getting 12.6 volts constant up and down, no voltage spikes. Checked the ground and its good also. Soooo called Place again, they said it must be a bad pump out of the box, got a new one shipped out and put it in last night. Up works fine, down sounds like a blockage and doesnt wanna push fluid. ok troubleshooting time getting frustrated to say the least. took the cylinder off the nozzle, up works fine down struggling. unhooked the lines one by one to check for blockages, all are good. Im really at a loss at this point. Has anyone had similar issues? any suggestions? I've worked late on this every night this week to get ready for this weekend.

I can this afternoon. thats actually my next step as a point of failure. Do these cylinders go out very often? this system is probably a year old, and not a whole lot of run time on it.

I don't think there is much to go wrong on the cylinder. It's just a body, shaft and piston with some seals mixed in the bunch.
But possibly an air bubble trapped in your hydraulic lines...

according to place it is a self bleeding system, but who knows.

That wasn't the case in Parker.. I forgot who's boat we were working on. But lots of air in the system... Where are you located?

I'm no expect put it sounds like the cylinder may be bypassing internally, or seals are blown.
Is there any damage or anything to the rod?

Im in Vegas. Im suspecting the cylinder may have a problem. Place opens at 8 I will be giving them a call, they have been really helpful so far.

. When I replaced my pump I was having issues also... Up was good down no bueno... It was actually a pockets of air so I had to bleed it and topped off fluid works like a champ. Good luck brotha!!

Lol, I'm putting money that it's air in the system... Oh how I love my manual diverter haha

So how did you bleed it if it doesnt want to go down?

Well been a busy morning at work didnt get a chance to call Place, but they called me to see if everything worked out with the new pump. I told them the problems i am having and are gonna send another pump out. Apparently they have had a bad run of pumps from Bennet not just me. I gotta hand it to them for their customer service, they have been very courteous and helpful.
