I need your help I am getting talked into buying a tournament boat selling the Tahiti and just say screw it all...... I went with a buddy that has a 94 Ski Centurion after work and I have to say I loved the ride and it had a holeshot that would pull a skier rclean out of the water. And on plain it sounded pretty good as well. My idea would be to to mellow out my 496 for pump gas and stuff that in one. I think a tourney boat with a mean big block would be a fun boat. Plus my son will turn 2 next summer and a 2 year old and a low profile jet boat aren't a good mix. He has rode in a jet boat and loved every minute but it would still be hard to keep a hand on him and jets are a rough ride for sure.
Am I loosing it??

I think you should keep your jet boat AND buy the tournament boat so you can take us all skiing. I have skiied behind a MasterCraft a few times. AWESOME!

Maybe, just maybe, but there's no prop to be concerned with.
Besides, I don't think those tourney boats sit much higher from the water than a lot of jets (mine not included); flytime's boat sits plenty high enough and, most importantly. ALWAYS runs!
