This is a new day . The smoke has cleared . The singing and dancing has stopped . America , we have a new president "Elect" As with any other campaign faught long and hard , Promises of better days , better times , and prosperity for all were all the rage .
We must not loose sight of the big picture here . Decisions concerning our constitutional rights and freedoms are not left to be compromised by a single person . He will have advisors whom he will lean on heavily , senators and congress to answer to before any judgment is made . I see this election just as any other filled with promises (or threats , depending on how you see it) which will be shot down when presented to the house and nothing he puts high on his list will come to fruition as with any other president .
I am optamistic that we as a country have made the right decision and once he is faced with the reality of being the president and what issues we are being affected by , he will make the right decision . He has a long ways to go , he has alot of people to convince , and he has a huge load to carry . We will still have a voice , and we will still have to be heard .
That is what makes this counrty so great , democracy does work . Not always in your favor , but you still can be heard and you still have a fight . I for one will roll with the punches and keep an eye on my interests and freedoms and I advise the rest of you to do the same . For those of you whom do not believe in the democratic proccess , I'm scared for YOU !

Actually I havent had more than 3 beers since my last update . Just kind of tired of all the "SKY IS FALLING !" posts . :-\ I think Obama is alot of the same 'ol same 'ol political crap . Nothing he says will happen just like every other president before him . I dont see him anymore powerful or almighty than any other . Just like every other president , we will wait and see .
I didnt vote for W either because of my fear he would just pick up where his father left off . Badda bing , badda boom . Here we are watching another bush wipe his hands of another America in disaray .

that may be what happens but the one thing you forget is the fact that the democrats have the whitehouse and congress. they can pretty much do what they want with no checks to stop them.
