What is the origin of these "Rayisms"

Dunno, really. And not a hard question, you guys can ask anythng. Most of you know more about me than the people I work with every day, lol. No never even been to a reniassance fair.

Wait til Jeremy posts the pic I sent him a bit ago (I know he will) on my phone! lol. (In MY defense, they wanted me to wear green because they are having some ignition trouble with my boat, and I had a solution, wear green, albeit not a sound or sane one, but still funny as hell!) You guys are gonna think I was doing the Sugar Plum Fairy dance in drag. (Wait, it'sa comin, hopefully not high rez), once he gets the little bit of vomit outta his mouth opening that text, lmao.

I guess maybe it's the Irish half of my background, or maybe that I read a LOT of old english classics when I was younger. Who knows, but makes a more colourful language, no? lol. I had a college professor from Dublin who kinda talked that way too, maybe that's part of it.

Probably more correctly was my addiction to Monty Python's Flying Circus and their movies in High School, or my Pennsylvania Dutch Grandma who had a sense of humour like no other. She used the Methinks thing A LOT! Usually when I or my cousins were in deep shit for something. (Normally, it was I).

Or the countless old books I've read to the kids (Always my job, and I relished that, My kids heard Rindercella, Stiltzkinrumple, and the Pee little Thrigs, among other things, another thread on how I read those to them, maybe I'll type them out some time, but I'd do like "I'll puff, and I'll huff, and I'lllllllllll HOE your blouse down", my poor kids are gonna require therapy at some point.......)

Could also be my version of lol, lmao, brb, pita, etc etc. (Been on the internet since before it was the internet, only bulletin boards, but still get bamboozled easily with things on it these days)

  Kinda makes me proud I have my own word now tho, "Rayism", and it's definition ain't nearly close to half as bad as it certainly could be, (Or maybe SHOULD be) lmao!

Thanks Guys! I'll try and refrain from them, lol.  Good to have friends that will point that out, as I'm sure I use them in conversations everyday unconciously, and it prolly bugs some people methinks.

I know, I was kidding. If I knew it bugged people I'd do it more.  Yeah, I'm 45. (21 with 24 years of experience perfecting the technique of being an idiot and an ass, according to my late wife, lol). I'll see if I can dig them up. They're still in boxes I think in the Bat-Cave in the basement. Can't remember how they really go to post how I read them, lol, but just pretend to be somewhat dislexic.
