I inherited a jet boat. At least 35 years old and it hasn't been run in at least 5 years. I think it's a good boat, obviously needs pain and some stuff. But I would like to get it run able and tow-able. And see what I have before getting rid of it or something.
Big 455 engine with high rise and 6 barrel carb
Boat is located in San Jose. Any recommendations?

I have never heard of or seen a 6 barrel carb but triple 2 barrels is my guess. Pic's and the hin # would help id the boat. the him is located on the transom or rear of the boat on the right side

the biggest difference is that its a family/friend "heirloom" and you can do no better than restoring it back to its original beauty and go on its maiden voyage.
again, post up some pictures. theres a ton of helpful information on this site if you search for it, if you dont find an answer feel free to ask. theres quite a few people who have been down your road. my advice would be to go through EVERYTHING. if anything you can clean it up and know that in the back of your mind that it is reliable and safe.
