Title: Insurance for 87 Rogers
Post by: morebass10 on June 19, 2007, 01:05:35 PM
Hello Everyone,
New to the forum, have a question. So far Allstate and Geico have said that they cannot provide insurance for my 87 Rogers. Anyone out there know of some good coverage for a decent price? Progressive quoted me $412 for the year. I feel thats a little high.

Thanks!
David

I have dealt with this before....i had progressive they were ok, i know they rate by horsepower too, so you can be a little modest on the hp for a better rate ......
you can also try a state farm agent "eric opdahl " in oceanside  760/945-4900 he does insurance for boats and toyhaulers and sand toys too......

I am having the same problem with my eliminator, no one will touch it, spent all day one day e-mailing all the insurance places I could get to come up on the net and they all pretty much just laughed at me, even checked with my current agent that has everything I own (except the boat) insured and they can do nothing.

Coors - What kind of boat do you have? State Farm just quoted me 398.00.

Stats 18' Rogers Stock 454 325hp with Berkley Jet.

Total Value 8k with trailer

Quoted for 300K in Liability with 500 deduc.

Am I over insuring this thing?

100k at first sounded like a lot....then i got to thinking....

if you hit one of those 35' DCB's, that will cover 1/2 the cost lol

I thought the same way. If godforbid I hit some larger boat, most of them new are well over 100K. I'd rather be safe than sorry.
