Title: Is this bad??
Post by: JetBoatJesse on September 27, 2013, 08:51:09 AM
I knew it cranked over funny,  and it sounded like no compression. Its on one of our builds we did a year ago. An LS7 with cam, and a blower,  it made 715 at the tire,  and the old Guy has been driving the crap out of it. Yesterday getting on the freeway,  top of 1st the chain let go...:-[. Then nothing.  Been working on LS motors for 12+ years now and haven't seen this before. The chain and gears are JP performance stuff from Australia,  but shit happens.

That hurts. How much other damage did it cause?

Not sure yet, bent some push rods so the Ti intake valves might be bent. We still have to pull it down... we might pull it out and Forge the motor.
