Title: Jet to V-Drive conversion....

Anyone done it? is it feasible? Tom, pipe up here and tell me I'm high for even thinking this.

I dont know what kind of boat you have but you could prolly go out and get a nice little flatty w/o motor for less $ and time. Why do you think you'd prefer a v-drive, just currious.

Not planning on doing it, just curioius if it could be done and if it's feasible, especially on bigger boats, I know of a nice 21' daycruiser, but it's a jet, thought I'd ask about making it a V-Drive

just keep it a jet and put a diesel engine in it >:D Safe on gas O0

Never done it ,done stern to V-drive (nice project) everything depends on the boat!! Tom

Rodger Finney at one time turned the cj288 boat into a v-drive and raced it in the gn class. He ended up putting it back to a jet as you can see now. It worked pretty good!

My favorite saying (one of them) is "with a little perserverance and some vasoline you can screw a cat" , loosely translated this means just about anything can be done if you want to !! ;)
