Title: Jetavator vs place diverter
Post by: Havasukona455 on April 01, 2014, 12:17:56 PM
What's the difference between the two besides the jetavator is an old set up. I'm looking at a boat that has a jetavator but says it's more for trim then throwing a rooster tail. This true ?

I believe that is correct.  I think the jetavators were only on the 1 piece bowls so you only have limited adjustments

You can make it work on either...c bowl you need to turn the bowl so pin angle is horizontal. If a split, the nozzle housing would need to be turned horizontal pin as well. A c bowl vrs g with housing are about same length. They are both for trim.

The biggest difference is the pivot points for steering and trim. The trim points on the JOV are before steering pivot, whereas the PD has the steering before the trim pivots.
Not sure if that makes a difference in handling or performance, but I liked my PD over my JOV after the changeover.

Place turns first then adjust trim angle.

Jetovator adjust nozzle trim then turns.

If that makes sense

both are to adjust trim and ride quality

Good question.  Im not sure on which one throws bigger tail.  Place is the preferred but both work to do the same job.  The big rooster tail looks sweet but I think they are modified somewhat to achieve it Im sure someone on here can tell ya.  I dont think its faster just for looks to me.

PD is more user friendly. You can get parts readily fr the PD.
