Jet O Vator unlike a Place Diverter trims up and down before it steers (Place is opposite) So the Jet O Vator cable pulls/pushes the steering tube in and out to effect the up and down movement of the trim nozzle The physical effort will be a little different on that unit than a Place unit (due to the difference in mechanical advantge in the diffent designs) If the cable is older it will aggravate this but in general the Jet o vator is indedd a little more effort  Tom

"Jet O Vator unlike a Place Diverter trims up and down before it steers"

With a JetOvator the up/down function is directly after the bowl or nozzle extention (except for the F models) and the Steering/right left is second or aft of that , On a Place diverter the Steering (R/L) comes first after the bowl then theres the Up/Down Trim function I know its a little  confusing , I'll try to find some better pics  ;) Tom
