Thinking about going out Friday morning, went to dumont last week and water pump seal went bad didn't know it till I took the cover off last night to adjust my clutch, so I gotta get a new seal, bearing and impeller today

Looks like a good time even if you lost a tranny.  Those Buckshot cars are some of the best and they did a great job with the X5R and all the body work, I used to work for them years ago and did all the assembly.  I built almost every X3 that came out of that place, Andrew always has something cooking for his next creation.  Do you ever plan to step up to a long travel car?  If so, a tranny breaking is the least of your worries.

Ya grandpas shop (Hannemann Fiberglass) does all the glass work for buckshot and a few other buggy builders. Its hard to believe that the old man can still make things look as cool as the X5 and the X2. I would kill toown one of those cars.

As for stepping up to a full travel i am sure i will soon now that i have the kid.

But after breaking my trans last weekend. I got to drive granpas extreme double throw down with twin turbo LS motor. the thing is a beast. But it kind of took the fun out of our little daily runs. I had no idea we were going so slow on our rides because i was alwasy in the back of the buggy line with my VW driving like it was the baja 1000 just trying to keep up. I am power sliding and jumping every step up i can find. When i was in the big car these "jumps" that i usually hit might as well not of even been there. You dont feel anything in the big car. So I am in no hurry to get something huge the little cars just seem morefun. But then again if i were to go out with say 5 equally equiped buggies and we were out for blood that would be a white knuckle expierence for sure. But if you break anything on that car you are out thousands of dollars. Hell i think his trans cost 30k$.

So Ya i would love a full travel when the time comes. but i dont think i will be selling my little buggy to get one. I will keep it for the daily runs and use the big car for boys runs. I am thinking of swapping out my 2176 for an Ecotech since i will be taking the whole rear of the buggy apart anyway to get the trans fixed.

Unless you are at the drags or shooting up olds i think the mid travel cars are more fun to drive. My car was bullet proof for about 4 years and i drive it like i stole it from a rental car place. lol.

If i do go with a big car it will be a dual sport pre runner type that is AZ/CA street legal.
