Like most folks in this country, I have a job. I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit.
In order to get that paycheck in my case, I am required to pass a random urine test (with which I have no problem). What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test.
So, here is my Question: Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them?
Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their ass - doing drugs, while I work …
Can you imagine how much money each state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check? I guess we could title that program, 'Urine or You're Out'.
Pass this along if you agree or simply delete if you don't. Hope you all will pass it along, though.
Something has to change in this country -- and soon!

Couldnt agree more with making wellfare cases pass the good ol' drug test!

please dont get me started on this one again...freaking now with the unions they have this little thing called impact...wow...once a year i am required to renew this...i half to go on my time and take a urine sample...not only that they can send me a random at one time and i have one week to have it complete...here's the kicker they take 15 cents an hour of my check...that adds up and everyone else too...that really adds up...now they are supposed to send us a 40 dollar check for doing the drug test...because shit i pay 15 cents an hour for it anyway...well we all called our union on this cause none of have gotten a check...their answer was yoiur employer has to pay it...the employers answer you union has to pay it! WTF man...i know its only 40 bucks but where is this effing money going? just think all the union ironworkers half to pay 15 cents an hour for this and no one knows where the money is going...and when i say all that means nationwide and canada included...so every ironworker who knows how many members strong we have that are paying that 15 meesley cents and no one knows where the money is? i dont have a problem taking the piss test by no means, but i mean shit...then i pay fuck who knows how much for welfare and so does everyone else and where is that money going probably to crack, heroine, weed, cocaine, pills, and whatever other fancy effing drug is out there...i mean shit when i was doing coke i paid out of pocket! where can i apply to get free drugs...healthcare...and food stamps...

If you lower your truck and get some 24's on it that will do, you dont need to get the caddy ;)

Nordie I have not been a big fan of unions for quite some time now :thumbdown: to me they have gotten spineless bigtime. Just take everyones money and not really do shit for you, at least thats the experience I have had. I know some jobs you have to be in the union to GET the job, and pay an arm and a leg to get in, but all and all hmmmmm

to do my trade i would not do it non union to save my life...bashing the unions is completely rediculous for anyone...if you stop and think about it this country is based on unions...if we didnt have any unions we would all be making less money and alot less..."unions we would miss them alot more if we didnt have them"
on another note its the greedy people that get in charge that ruins it...not the unions themselves...right now we are pretty strong...its the exact same deal as politics just on a much smaller scale...
i just wish people had a spine and not so much a spineless blowfish..

I just remember working repairing office equipment after High School and during college years ago and doing service calls at the offices of places like Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, in Stubenville, Oh and Monessen Pa where 1 of 6 blast furnaces were running, part time at that, and a skeleton crew of maybe 200 workers when there used to be nearly 3000. Kinda sad.
Then get a call to the Union HQ and the head of the local USW union pulls up in a new Porsche 928!
Anyone else see the irony in that? Bad taste in my mouth for unions when you see what they did to the steel industry and have now done to the car industry in America.

BTW I agree with drug testing to get your welfare checks. Problem is, since it's a government run program, gonna cost us MORE tax dollars because then they're gonna hafta create another department, across the country, and the medical industry will see the dollar signs and over charge for said tests..........Whats right is right, but we'll still take it up the a$$ if they ever do it.

You are over looking the the millions of people who will not be getting a check anymore!

If the goverment is just going to give the money away I would much rather the $$$ go to people who actually work (Goverment Employees) than the ones who sit on a porch all day, get drunk and collect a check

True, Very true fellas! I'm just pointing out it's another way the government will find a means to screw the taxpayer under the guise of reform.
