I think it was anyways . After much review and very indepth investigation . I say the ref saved KIMBOS ass .

i havent seen it yet......but i did listen to an extensive interview about it on the Jason Ellis show today with Jason 'Mayhem' Miller and Bas Rutten.....they both had very good arguemtns that were convincing that it was not fixed. Their arguemt was those guys are trained to stand up for anything....and yet that guy was standing up, he was knocked out cold. (not litterally)....and kimbo never tapped out, he was giving thumbs up to the ref to make sure the ref knew he was ok and not getting hurt and for him to not call the fight.

it was a good fight, but kimbo looked like he was tiring pretty good when it was stopped. anyone catch the fabor vs pulver fight---very good fight

First round I would say was about even . On at least 2 ocasions Kimbo landed three consecutive Hard Kimbo shots to James Thompsons face and James shook them off .
Second round James Thompson was on top of Kimbo most of the time landing something that resembled several elboys to Kimos head . After round 2 Kimbo looked BEAT !
Third round Kimbo took a few seconds to come out of his corner and looked slugish , throwing wild punches and eventually land 3 hard punches on Thompsons (1st) jaw (2nd) square in the face (3rd) on the alien life form growing from Thompsons ear . He didnt go down but was very wobbly . The third blow resulted in Thompsons ear exploding and thats when the ref jumped in .
Kimbo walks away and colapses in the middle of the ring only holding his arms up and Thompson was still standing , shaking his head in disbelief that the fight had been called . I personally think Thompson could have came back and finished Kimbo only cuz he had survived several harder bows from Slice . Whatching Slice after the fight , he was absolutly winded , I just dont think he had anymore in him . Lets not forget Thompson was also coming off a 7 loss streak ! Thompson took a hammering and stayed standing . I'm gonna give it to Thompson .

Round 1

kimbo's ground game sucks, but every time he got submitted, he muscled his way out of it.....gus never really lands any good strikes....kimbo rattled him a few times.
Round 2

gus continues to take blows and lands nothing on kimbo....gus is obviously hurt and kimbo is just winded.....gus did get him pinned and landed a bunch of elbows then kimbo was save by the bell.
Round 3

kimbo took advantage of his ear and just started wacking away at him....his bell was rung bad and he wasnt even concious enough to defend himself...he wasnt even putting up his arms every time kimbo hit him.
yeah, it might have been called a little early, but i dont think gus had a chance to recover...kimbo was just destroying him.

Kimbo got saved by the bell. When Kimbo was getting his head pounded in the mat he didnt know what to do. Even the announcer was saying wheres his basic jiu-jitsu escape moves? He needs alot more training if hes gonna start fighting UFC dudes. I see cage fighters all the time in Orange County. Every guy with a TAPOUT sticker on his truck knows MMA these days. :screwy:
