Title: King's river 4th of July
Post by: lilrick on March 28, 2007, 10:32:31 PM
anybody else wanna go? I have been there for the last three years in a row and I love it! It is quiet, quaint, and very laid back. The King's River is 20 miles south of Fresno off the 99. It's tent camping along the river at its finest!

OK guys ! cool , the place I stay at is called Lindy's Landing. The # is 559 897 2885. THe address is 41920 road 38 Reedley, ca 93654. If you're serious about goin', you need to make reservations NOW. I think it may sell out this year. They rebuilt the campground last year.
I have really enjoyed this place the last few years. If you have kids, it's perfect. If you're looking for The Havasu atmosphere then it's not for you.
The river is also much smaller and cannot facilitate the larger boats! So, this means that there will not be the big offshore type boats that wreek havoc on us little guys. This is the home of the older nostalgia type jets and flatties. Nowhere will you guys see the abundance of hot rod jets and flatties!!! For you Sanger buffs, the home of Sanger is actually a town called Sanger and is up the road only a few miles.

lilrick,
I usually go up there every year, usually stay at riverland, maybe I'll see ya.  I'll get your cell number while we are at Parker, we can keep in touch while up there.  Very cool place to go, thinking of bringing the flattie and do hot laps around the island in front of riverland!!!

We  tried to stay at Riverland when Royal Oaks went under  a couple of years ago. That's definitely where the High folutin' folks go. They don't allow ANY tent camping and ALL motor homes and campers must be less than ten years old!!!

I heard something like that to about River Land from a guy that use to go there allot. I think I will try and hook up with you lilrick. Any way we could all get adjoining camp sites? I have will have 3 young kids 12,11, and 8, and it's always best when they meet new friends. Easier to keep an eye on too.
