Title: Lake Elsinore Question
Post by: The Chaz on March 26, 2007, 06:43:32 PM
Hey Guys,
I am planning to take the boat to Lake Elsinore tommrrow to see if I can work out the last "kink" in my boat.  I have never been there before and was hoping I could get some suggestions before I make the drive up there.  I Tried to go to El Capitan today and found a locked gate stating close M-W  So any helpful hints for tomorrow would be great.

ive only been there a couple of times, i know that the middle of the lake is for high speed only ;D
i think there are a couple of different places to launch but i allways use the launch ramp by the softball feild. i think its 18 bucks to launch now :o

Yep I use the east ramp as well. I think it's one of only a few that you can get away with launching with open header. Once you are on the lake though you are at the mercy of the PO Po

Is that Seaport boat launch?  I had to install the thru transom for my son, so I'm covered on the exhaust. ::)

Got the weather report and postponed until tommrrow.  Said it was going to be in the 40's with wind advisory, not my idea of a good test day.  Hopefully tommrrow Mother Nature will cooperate.

Hey Chaz, i usually launch out of the west marina. its the last campground on the left if your goin down riverside dr. there pretty cool down there. no po po's arround. speed limit is 35 for most of the lake and in the high speed zone in the middle of the lake it just depends on how big you balls are.  have fun out there. im thinkin of going out there in 2 weeks.
