Drove 700 miles to watch the race and it was cancelled because the recovery boat was broke and the other boats didn't have insurance. I almost came home to get my boat. I'm glad I didn't. It was quite the mess. Did anybody else make the trip.

Yeah we were there. It was a complete lack of management on Dave LaPinskis part. The rescue boat situation was know about on Friday( not saturday)....... I don't want to bash the CHBA, but there safety boats were a joke. If a pro boat crashed it would have been big trouble. I want to say thank you to the NJBA Mike DeClark and Ken Doller who did everything in there power to make it happen. NJBA guys left the race and went and got there rescue boats! Long haul for no show.
We need to keep an open mind about this guys. This event didn't help drag boat racing one bit. But it could be an amazing venue with tons of potential.
If they do have drag boats back, we will be there. 👍
