Post by: seapat on November 22, 2016, 02:36:37 PM
How many of you guys launch your boat with a motor home? Wanting to get one. Any tips or advice , busy or steap ramp sounds like a nightmare.

Piece of cheese.

You could always install a ball mount onto the front.

Depends on the length you want and where you go. Just have to do some planning ahead sometimes, we have a longer one so ya it's a pain in the ass most of the time. If we don't have friends going with a truck we bring ours too.

It's not the launch to worry about, it's the pickup. the weight can be a challenge, just carry a bag of kitty litter for traction!

My motor home makes about 500hp (injected 468) and I've never had a traction issue, you do gets some funny looks though. I normally back down the entire ramp,  it's a pain in the ass to turn around.

One year the water was way down,  I had to back down the ramp about a mile (not exaggerating).

Make sure your emergency brake works perfect. Have a chock or two handy.
