My wife Teresa is Bob and Elly's granddaughter. Bob passed away in 1992 at he age of 79. Elly has been in great health all these years right up until a couple weeks ago. She had only give up her drivers license this last April on her 94th birthday. A couple weeks ago Elly had started to feeling ill and was taken to the hospital where they ran some test but weren't sure of the diagnoses, the doctors wanted to run more test but after a day in the hospital Elly had had enough and just wanted to go home. Elly was returned home and cared for by her children and grand children the last couple weeks and was resting peacefully. my wifes mom Carla and my wife Teresa had been staying with here, Teresa hysterically called me at 3am this morning and told me that Grandma Elly had just passed. I normally wouldn't put such intimate family business out there like this but I know the Nordskogs are huge part of boating history.
Rest in peace Grandma Elly we love you and you will be truly missed

Bob Nordskog was one of the great innovators of the sport.
He was one of the reasons I got into the boat business as a kid.
I was at Jack London Square in 1983 at an in water show with my dad. Sitting at a table by the deli were Reggie Fountain, Bob Nordskog and Howard Arneson signing race pictures.
As a young adult, these guys were my heroes.
I think I still have all the pictures somewhere.
Bob stood out because he would always make sure and say hello and talk to the kids...
Your grandma Elly must have been one extremely special person.
