I was just watching Pawn Stars and Rick is PISSED off at his son Cory for buying a boat. They were about to brawl over it. Rick said, "the reason we dont invest in boats is, because they're holes in the water you throw money into."

Kind of similar to the day I told my girlfriend I bought my boat!

theres another episode where they bought one after that...it was an 22' aluminum hull with 2 115hp kawi motors in it....said it does over 70mph  :screwy:

i wanna see a 20+ foot boat with only 230hp that will break 70mph  :sly:

Yeah I saw that one. That boat was crazy. Im sure Rick was more open to buying it since they made out on the first one so well.

Actualy I saw that Chris Craft on Craigs here localy for I think what they paid for it or less. The ad said this IS the boat from Pawnstars.

one the line is around the corner and down the street to get in there

and they just signed a contract for like 40 something episodes

That show is awesome. I record the episodes and watch them all. At first when I heard about it I thought it might be kind of lame but once I watched I was hooked. I even got my girlfriend hooked on it and she doesnt even like watching tv. Glad to hear they signed on to do more.

this is true.....its across the street from one on my lawyers offices. the few times ive been by there, its been a line to see.  :o

like any 'reality' show....keep in mind....its anything but that - reality. I am sure some of those deals dont go down like they say they do.

who in their right mind would have something appraised on site for something like $15,000 then turn around and take $8,000 for it.  :screwy: You would have to be a serious crack head fiending for some blow to do that.

I admit, ive watched that show quite a few times. I enjoy it. I have yelled at the TV on a few of the deals....The old man rules. The kids are worthless. and the dad is a jackass.

2 weird dudes peekin around peoples properties then go try to haggle them for their shit.

then the people who hoard all this junk think its worth double its weight in gold or dont want to part with any of it.

kinda boring show actually.

I am almost always drawn towards to obscure .
Those guys are passionate about the finds and wont screw people outta money.
Pawn Stars is ALL about screwing you.
The only thing that keeps Pawn Stars pallettable for me is the stuff people bring in.
The show could be just as good with any of the other con artist in the shop in front of the camera.
None of those guys have personality, and pops is just an ego testical maniac.
As far as the pickers go, you about hit the nail on the head.

Gotta say Omar, I am right there with ya on Pickers. Seems a little bit scripted at times, but still cool. What I want to know is does the skinny guy really know that much about that many old things? Or is there sideline info he gets. If it is in his little noggin, that guy knows a lot about a lot of old crap.

American Pickers is ok but they are a little too dorky, especially the fat guy. I'll watch it if there's nothing else on. I like the way the guys on Pawn Stars interract with each other. They bust each others balls and talk a lot of shit. The old man is hilarious. Chumlee is useless but funny as hell. I just find it funny as hell how they argue with each other. Thats the kind of stuff I find funny...people talking shit and busting each others balls. Those American Pickers guys act like they *** out after they go picking. That show is just too "nice" and boring.
