Title: Looking for first boat
Post by: klower000 on June 29, 2016, 09:48:22 AM
As the title states, I am looking to purchase my first jet boat.  I live in Idaho so am pretty limited to the options around here.  I have found a couple but not sure which is the best way to go.  I have included the for sale links below.  Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

I like the Hawaiian and the Hornet. Also, that daycruiser is pretty nice too. Looks real clean for its age.

X2. The Hawaiian has a 455 Olds not a 454 (Chevy as advertised). The Olds is fine, just mentioned it so you're aware. I would guess it is also a little newer than 1971.

The Kurtis is a good hull, full stringer, Southwind clone. But it is a small block. And has ugly interior.  ;D

The cruiser does look nice. It won't set any speed records, but looks nice and will have a lot of extra room compared to the others.

If it's claimed to be a running boat by the seller, don't buy it without driving it.

Unfortunately, I went to look at the Hawaiian today and it was already sold.  So the search continues.
