Can anybody tell me some info or history behind Hallett boats i have a 76 bubble 460/Berk Pdiverter just looking for more info on these hulls

hallet has been a number one name in boats since they started up. they have never comprimised on quality. imo hallett is one of the best name in boats

Thank you I will say this the thing sure rides nice. ;D I just cant really find anything online about them I know they still make power boats but i was just trying to find a little info about the past i guess

Call down to Hallett and talk with some of the more seasoned sales reps, there are some guys that still work there now days that used to work there when that boat was sold in the 70's.
I have the very same hull as you, there are couple guys on here that do too. It can be a fast hull, nothinng like a CP or a Daytona but with the right amount of power and the right pump set up and a bottom detail you can get some decent speed out of them.
It will never be a boat that is safe over 100 MPH in my opinion but it's a great hull to take into the 80's and a bit more if you have the coin....
I will tell you one thing for sure, it rides so good because it's built like a brick sh!t house, that boat is very heay. If you do decide to build it up, you are going to need a lot of power. Be prepared to shoot for 500 HP as a minimum to make that boat go fast.

I met George Hallett (I think that was his name) after he had sold off the company. He had a small repair shop behind my friend's dirt bike shop in Downey. He was still working on boats till the day he died.

I clocked it @ 68 on the GPS thats as fast as I need it scares my girl :thumbup: thanx for the suggestions
