Title: ***UPDATE*** LS mock up block or dimensions
Post by: LMG on August 24, 2011, 04:05:50 PM
I need a hopefully bare block and timing cover. I want to throw it in the mill and grab all the holes and draw up a mounting plate. Any help would be appreciated...Lance 619-554-7108

I've got an aluminum block in north county, no timing cover though fwiw I used the water inlet holes for the front, 3 per side. No problems all season

I think my brother talked to you, was your boat for sale?  Do you still have your boat? I would love to take a look at it. I tried to buy a kit from a vendor and got some back and forth, so I'll just make my own kit. My cnc mill isn't busy right now so the sooner the better...

If the money shows up everything has a price. Unfortunately the boat is in big river, but I do have moforplates that didnt quite work on the height that are contorted to the timing cover. And I got the mock up block. Yours to use if you want

I just want look, I am too broke for more toys right now. I am going to make a fully machined front, rear, and the pto. The available kits are waterjet and apparently unavailable. Can you call me or give me your number? I am motivated...Lance 619-554-7108...

Lance, happy to help.

Kevo, everyone here is down to earth blue collar, beer drinkin type folks that aren't looking to make a ton of dough off fellow jetboaters. We do stuff to help each other, that's what half this sport is all about.

meet up with Sandeggo(Kevin) today(at a gun store), super cool guy. I have the LS mock up block, BBC is ready to come out in the morning. I was hoping to have it out by this evening, but forgot about a Dr. appt.(cortizone shot in my toe), so it didn't happen. Gonna head down to the shop in the morning and pull it out with a forklift. I'll get all the measurements from the front of the block and start on the front motorplate. I will be reusing the rear plate if possible. Suggestions are welcome...
