Re the Mazda "back in the day" (late 70's) cause of $ 1 buck a gallon gas (lol) there was a push on for "economy jets" and i vaguely remember a couple of small production jet boats with  Wankles (mazdas) and Datsun 2000 dual carb motors Interesting concept !!!
I once had the opportunity to drive a Dealer customers early Mazda coupe RX2 or 3 (circa 1974) home about 60 miles. The dealers daughter followed me in a new Olds 442 . I repeatedly blew her doors off on the freeway on the trip as the little Mazda would pull easily 8K before the tattle tale beeper would go off ....Tom     Mazdas go hmmmmmm

Those guys own a shop here in San Diego. That car is even faster now. They sold that pink honda they beat on ebay.

If you have any rotary questions they are the guys to ask. I could give you there number if you want it. They have rotary motors all over the place in their shop( at least 30 of um all turbos )

Those videos are pretty cool.

My old boss's son in law used those mazdas engines in his sand car biz. He also used the Mazdas as powerheads on Mercury outboard lower units. We built the glass engine covers for him.

I remember there was a Datsun dealer by our house that sold those little jets Tom was talking about back in the 70's. They were called 'Sundance' or 'Sundancer'. Little POS.  :D
