we have been looking for a 2nd dog to hang out with Roxy our chocolate lab. my wifes co-workers boy friend is a cop and had a bomb dog drop out and asked if we were intested, we said sure. then it fell through for a couple of months. they called yesturday and asked if we were still interested and we said sure bring him over.
the reason he failed the bomb dog training is that he would not get into the car where the bomb was so they failed him. i have some m-80s here at the house and when we planted one and set him to work he found it and went crazy :o so if you see him at the river, and he is sniffing around and all of the sudden sits RUN AS FAST AND AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN lol. any way here are some pics

Smart dog, i wouldn't get in the car either....my dogs would probably try to eat a bomb.
Want a third one?

Cool beans Ralph...
I have a Sheriff friend who has three bomb dogs, they're amazing. I went with him a couple years back when he had his eldest dog re certified, they had an empty movie theater set up for the exam and had planted a "device" somewhere in the theater, the dog goes in and sits near some seats in the back of the room in theater 2....The tester says "he failed"....My buddy says "bullshit, it's there"...The tester consults with the other certifier on what it means, it just so happened that the other tester had stashed another "device" on the other side of the wall where the dog was still sitting (in theater 1), and yes, that one was larger than the one in theater 1. :screwy:
Needless to say, he passed. He has been training sniffer dogs for 30 years, maybe he can give you some pointers... :sly:
I love Labs, they're awesome, my buds "sniffers" are 100# German Sheppard's, but you get the idea...
Good luck with the new addition, you can't miss.
Take care and scream "HI!" to everyone for me...

Great looking dogs brother. The new addition looks like he might have a bit of pent up energy. Good luck and congrats.
