Title: Member dispute!
Post by: vwagon13 on November 16, 2015, 06:58:31 PM
Ok here goes. I am a nice guy,got papers to prove it. I am a crazy matha, got papers to prove that too.
Soo,had parts for sale on SCJB,good stuff, not crap stuff. Hero member wanted all my parts at agreed price. Me,like a good guy dumb sh-t sent him parts on my dime. Sh-t. I've asked for agreed price a couple of times
,he replies,"sent check last week,it's in the mail" all eye wash, just crap. So what's next, talk to administration here(Brad did ask for his name)seriously, name names, small claims court up here? Any advise from anyone and sorry Brad, this game is bothering me,not because  the money. I just want Hero member to do the right thing. Thanks

Sounds like it was pretty much a gentleman's agreement... If the parts are not what they thought they were? Then send the guy his parts back! If they were as described then pay the guy! Seems pretty simple? And communication is king! Have to let everybody know what's going on in the deal or people start getting ancy... Just my two cents... Not worth much but have gotten me through life just fine...

Three years ago I bought a set of heads from a "good guy" on here.  I had bought parts from him twice before this and always gotten good parts at bargain prices.  But this time when I took these heads to the machine shop, the shop found several cracks in them.  In three years time I have only called him about a half dozen times asking him to make this right, but so far nada.  I never said anything on line until just a few weeks ago.  I never even thought to get Brad involved, he doesn't need that drama I'm sure.

I understand he <cough> 88CARERRA <cough> probably did not know they were unusable.  I would have been satisfied to get a partial refund so that neither of us has to take the full hit.  I'm sure he bought them expecting (but not knowing for sure) that they were in fact usable.  I told him that I have the heads in my truck and I drive by his jobsite every single day.  Anytime he wants to make a move I can stop by, but I would never make a scene at his work.  But it seems he just isn't going to do the right thing here.  Over time he has sold his boat and now seems to spend his time and money on buggies and dune toys, but I see he still comes here to try to sell parts from time to time, although he hasn't been on here since July it seems.

Some people just suck.             Anybody want a matching set of BBF anchors?

I sold a set of wheels and tires to a guy here a long time ago.
He was a cool dude, use to see him at the races, and would see pics of my wheels on his trailer at the SCJB river events.
$250.00 didn't change my life and you never know it may show up one day.
Until then I'll just keep skippin and whistling down the road.
Figure he must have needed them more than me and maybe I just picked up some karma points

I've sent a few sets of water lines. Never saw the 10 bucks I was asking for them either. Oh well....

Just think about who they are an hang around... Poor excuses for people.  A stand up MAN will make it right as well walk away from petty stuff. If you have it in writing ask Brad to help. If he doesn't, then you know who is friends with who...

Thats crazy about 88carrera... he kind of rubbed me as sketchy. Especially when he called me and was appologizxing for the head deal that i wasnt even involved with.

I traded him an old split bowl i had for a drive line. Then i saw him list the bowl i traded him for sale and claimed to have had it for a long time in his garage...

It sucks to hear about 88Carrera being a scum bag. This is a tight knit group that helped that guy out when he needed it. Now, he's taking advantage and ripping people off.

Do the right thing Chris (88Carrera)!!!!

Not sure I would label him "scum".  I just think he felt like he needed the money more than me.  I dont think he knew they were bad, but maybe he did.  He always seemed pretty legit, but who really knows.  Either way I dont think he has his boat anymore so we probably wont see him around here for quite a while.

Thats too bad. I bought a block, from a guy here, that was supposed to be .030 over. Turns out to be .060 over. I hit him up about and was willing to give me my money back. I decided to keep it instead for a future build. Thats the way deals should be handled.

Proof again that our fearless leader Brad is a stand up guy.
I posted earlier of a member who bought wheels and tires from me.
Here's a PM I got from Brad.
(Read your post....and I have this awful feeling it was me. I don't recall ever getting wheels from you but I tend to forget about a lot of stuff. Was it me?)
It wasn't him, but here he is stepping up to right a possible wrong.
A good guy all the way around.
Hope I didn't embarrass you by posting this up.

Ron

Thanks Ron. There was a couple of dark years in the beginning where my life was upside down and tried to block it all out, unfortunately, I've forgotten about things I shouldn't have.

The guy in question that this thread was originally intended for was PM'd yesterday by me, and I have yet to get a response.

Hey Brad. How goes it? Better I hope.
I am confused about your last paragraph  responding to Ron.I am the guy who started this whole mess trying to kick start a guy into "manny up to his commitment". I sincerely apologize to you for digging up old crap better left buried and forgotten.I am done with all this. Let's stick a fork in it, again I apologize for dredging all this up. Thanks all for the advice.

Like any situation, there is two sides to every story. I am waiting to hear if they settled up on their differences before we put anyone on blast.

I don't think putting him on blast would make this guy do the right thing he said he was going to but I won't hold my breath we all will meet r maker someday and he can decide who's right and who's wrong I'm not the judge or jury just a guy that wants to float down river with a beer in my hand and say I did it my way

I agree with you. Sorry was just messing around. Unfortunately when you buy anything from anyone you never know the out come. When your buy things from "friends" sometimes is the worst situation.
