Whats everyone doing for Memorial Day? Post people!!!
I am gonna try to make it out to Havasu. Anyone is welcome to join. Make it into a pre-parker get together.

Yep, wife and I, sans kids will be in Havabrew partying - My dad is dropping the kids off on Tuesday where we will then live out the rest of the week in a much more sedate lifestyle :-)

Ill be there, but not running my boat. You guys taking down smaller jets? I know I get beat to shit in mine if its a holiday weekend. It is doable, but I need a back brace after the weekend! I know Coors Heavy has a nice day cruiser that would be perfect for a holiday weekend, but whats everyone else bringing? My boat is down in the garage, I just dont think Ill be able to run it with the amount of chop that will be out there >:(

I talked to an owner of a 42' fountain yesterday....he has twin 1300hp blown motors in it....holds about 380 gallons of gas...which he tops off with 113oct.......he said it burns 6 gallons a minute at 120mph.

I WILL BE UP THERE FIRST THING FRIDAY MORNING. AND WE ARE STAYING ON THE CA SIDE JUST DOWN FROM BLACK MEADOW LANDING AND RIGHT ACROSS FROM STEAMBAOT COVE. THERE SHOULD BE ABOUT TEN OF US.

A couple of us will be camping at Moabi. If you get thirsty on your way to the sand bar stop by. We will have a 21 Hallett V-Drive, 18 Cole and 18 Southwind parked in the channel next to the dirt launch (on the right as you enter the channel).

Too many party animals at the 1st two sandbars for me. I like to go all the way up to Picacho and there is a sweet little beach spot on the left hand side about a mile up from the Picacho camping area/lauch ramp. I'll be the guy with the solid white jet boat with two goofy blue summit plastic bucket seats and a blue bimini. Maybe a couple of SoCalJetBoat stickers if brad gets back to me on price and cc info lol. I just might stop by and take you up on the beer or twelve. It will probably be just me and my better half. We're trying to get her kids to come out, but I don't think they will. So if you go up that way look me up and I'll keep an eye out for ya when we pass by.

I was thinking about cruising down from park moabi to the sand bar, but will the water be too choppy for a low profile jet boat that weekend? Always went to Picacho on Memorial, and if the waters to Choppy it would suck to have it floating bow up down river >:D

I was thinking about cruising down from park moabi to the sand bar, but will the water be too choppy for a low profile jet boat that weekend? Always went to Picacho on Memorial, and if the waters to Choppy it would suck to have it floating bow up down river >:D

im sure it will be better the launching out of havasu and driving up....which was my original plan.

YA THATS A MUCH BETTER PLAN THEN TO HEAD OUT FROM HAVASU. TRIED IT ONCE ON A BIG WEEKEND COMING OUT OF THE CHANNEL THROUGH WINDSOR AND HAD SWELLS CRASHING OVER MY HEAD. LAST TIME THE GF WANTED TO RIDE IN THE 18FOOTER. AND SINCE THE INTERDUCTION OF THE NO WAKE ZONE THERE AT THE ELBOW IT IS SO MUCH BETTER THAT WAS GETTING VERY ROUGH AND CRAZY IN THERE.

We are at the glorious Motel6 Havasu until Monday when we get our condo. Going out Sat morning, don't return until the 1st.
Partying at ????? Wherever the wildness begins. No kids for 3 days, gotta make the most of it.

While you all are out having fun in the sun. I'll be driving to Bend Oregon again to work on my in-laws kitchen, a 1000 miles each way. Drive up on saturday, work on sunday, drive home on monday. Have a cold one for me.
