As many of you know I ran the Catalina Grand Prix two years ago. Well it looks like they will be having another one this December. So instead of taking my race bike out there and getting my ass handed to me again, I decided to be part of the show by restoring and racing a vintage bike. So i piked up a 1971 Bultaco Pursang E 350.

I already have it broke down to nuts and bolts. The frame and other pieces will be at the powder coater today. and i will be dropping off the motor for a fresh rebuild once i get off of work.
This is going to be cool.
If you come up needing any parts, hit me up...My uncle has enough crap to build that bike 100X over...
Had a Bultaco flat tracker a number of years ago....That thing should have killed me.
BTW, since your into the old stuff, you seen this?
Grew up around these guys...Bubba Shobert, Jay Springsteen, Ricky Graham, Scotty Parker just to name drop a few...

I have a shirt from The San Jose Mile signed by Chris Carr when he was a rookie...

(FWIW he was inducted into the AMA hall of fame in '04)...
