First you must have a triples endorsement, , the state laws vary state to state , 65' is the max in California where Utah is 70' although , best bet pick up a map in a truck stop and it will have each states restrictions!

My truck and trailer alone are 66 feet but I have been talking to people on Facebook who do it and they are 75 feet and have been checked by Highway patrol wid[attachimg=1]th no problem. There is no State where they will allow 88 feet but people seem to be doing it with no problem. I have a liscence that allows me to drive any commercial combo any weight or legal length

I have to correct my info on Utah it's longer them that because they allow Triples ,

I believe that 85 feet is the longest in the USA

Ok Gord, I have been through this a bunch of times and asked many commercial highway patrolmen. Only in CA though. As long as you have a commercial class A with doubles/triples endorsement you can tow up to any length. I was told you can be 100' and be fine. If you have a restricted class A you can only be 75' overall length. Also here's the kicker,,,, NEITHER of the TWO trailers in TOW can be more than 28'. Now here is where it gets tricky. does it mean over all length of the trailer or is from kingpen to rear axle or is it from front axle to rear of trailer????I was told it is more or less for you to interpretate what the states in the DMV handbook and hope you don't get into an accident and or get a asshole patrolman that wants to mess with you. This all from CHP in CA. I used to tow with my 28' fithwheel trailer and my cruiser with my crewcab. It was 88' all together. Fun stuff and everybody looks at you doing it lol
