What's up fellas. well I am new to SCJB but not new to the river. grown up on the Parker strip for 19 years now. well it is that time now. I finally have that steady income and I've been sayin since I was 16 that I wanted to buy a boat. But now that savings account (boat fund) is lookin not to shabby and I am almost ready. I'm sure you all remember the first boat you bought and have lots of break down stories. My initial idea is an oldie. early 80's Kona or Rogers, Tahiti, etc. Little 4 seater closed bow to mess around on the river with my buddies. any words of wisdom or ideas? Lemme know!

Take your time and try to get a buddy that knows boats to go with you to help look her over. If you are willing to spend between 6K and 8k you will be able to enjoy you new boat a little more. I have seen a couple good deals for the 4k but most the time they are in winter. I have noticed that boats have increased in price a little this year. Good luck and if you need take good pictures and post them on here and you could get some help before you buy.
