Title: My river park sucks...
Post by: bigboy_77 on November 20, 2008, 08:43:19 PM
I got my monthly statement with a notice that my rent was being raised.  I kinda thought they would with the times but the next page said that they are switching to a lease instead of month to month.  But they want to be paid for the whole year up front.  I would sign the lease if I could pay month to month but I can't come up with that money by January 1st.  Can they do this?  My park is in Ehrenberg, AZ if that makes any difference.  I think this friggin' sucks.

Sounds like some business types from the city are running the show over there, I think with enough notice they can attempt a move like this. I hear plenty of this talk on the job. I ususally blow thru Erenberg on my way to Parker, but I spent plenty of summers at Rancho's Not So Grande across the river. That area was given back to the CRIT in the 80's, and all kinds of fun ensued. The place I stayed at was a cinder block house built by my buddies grandfather in the 40's. We had homesteaders, trailers, and indians all claiming ownership. What I'm getting at is not much has changed. I saw plenty of get rich guy plans, and not one of 'em is there anymore. From my experience, this sounds like a ghosttown in the making. Folks at the river like the flow, not radical change. I hope for you that the  management sees the light before it's too late.
