A friend of mine was hit by a car and had to get his c-2,3,4 fused together. It was 2 surgeries. On the front and back of his neck. It was major. Hes back to normal now. Has some stiffness but not to bad. He pops his neck all the time now.  f*cking crazy scar down the back of his neck though. Ill have to get pics next time i see him.

Had the same two disc fused with donor bone 22 years ago. In and out of hospital less than 24 hours. One hundred percent cured.

Nov 2011 had to have C5-C6 fused titanium plates and 4 screws with cadaver bone where the disc used to be.
They went in from the front and move all your junk in there over and when you wake up swollowing is a b@&** but I was able to go back to full work duties which incluide fire brigade at my job 6 months later.
Light duty in 3 months.
I wasnt allowed to shoot anything bigger than a bb gun for 3 months then nothing bigger than a 22.
You will find you will choke at night n your spit so get a wedge pillow. your auto swallower quits working for a couple months but it will get better.
Those plates rubbed on my voice box and I had a cough when talking for about the 1st month.
I had mine done in Flagstaff by the best DR in AZ Dr Hales
Now I get out and Ski and so far so good

Good luck to you!

That's good news. My Dad had it done 5 years ago.  Only complaint he has is that he waited so long to get it fixed. He gets a little sore after long road trips, but otherwise has no issues.
