Title: Need quick opinions

How do you guys feel about Hawaiian boats? I think they were a splash of Tahiti. This is a possible trade for my Mastercraft. He has what I am looking for and I have what he is looking for. Might go look at it today. Thanks in advance....Bob

they look nice but for a newer boat I think the trim pieces could br a little better.

Hey Bob, honestly you would need to look at it very closely.

I think you would be get the short end of the deal. I'm not going to say you would be getting screwed, but I would be thinking he would be taking advantage of you as far as value to value, he has that boat priced like an Eliminator or a Hallet, which we all know it is not..

Well as some of you know I went and looked at this boat today. It seems y'all are not huge fans of Hawaiian boats. I can honestly say that I poked around, jumped up and down on the floors, felt under the floors for bare wood, pushed all around the outside of the hull, looked under all the seat cushions and everything seemed really solid to me. No bare wood from what I could find, not soft spots, all the wiring seemed nice and tidey, the motor was REALLY clean, no big oil stains in the bilge. All the wood that I could see or feel was resined over. All in all the boat was is great shape. So far he has offered up trade plus a grand. I think I would need at least 2K. We talked about taking both boats to Elsi, trading keys and running around. We will see. You guys have me all ::) ??? :screwy: :-\

Bob, in all seriousness, if the jet seems like something you can live with and you can get $2k in your pocket, that seems real to me..

Besides, gonna need that boat to ba able to hang with us at LSAR this summer  :sly:

Oops...sorry about that. Copied from the ad and an e-mail he sent me.

1990 Eliminator - open bow, jet boat. Engine rebuilt - 454 Chevy with Berkley Jet. New upholstry. Comes with bimini cover and tandem trailor.

The pump has not been gone through recently.

The engine was done in 2006 and The upholstery was done in 2007.

Havent seen it in person yet. Hopefully next week. The boat is still in Laughln.
