New but not New....
« on: June 10, 2021, 11:59:12 PM »
Just recently got back into the boat world. spent some time off because of life and a heavy addiction to guns and motorcycles. ill be picking up a 76 Tahiti next week. 454 bbc merlin heads dominator carb and what not. seller didnt give too much info because it was listed on offer up. motor is being rebuilt by seller and promised receipts upon purchase.

Does anyone have any info or tips n tricks on these hulls? I'm not super educated on these hulls. I have previously owned a schiada years ago. sounds like a good deal to me at 8k with a fresh motor stringers were replaced 2 years ago. berkley pump with manual place diverter. pump was rebuilt around same time stringers were redone.

Are they fairly sturdy hulls? any thing to look for as far as common issues with tahiti hulls? are there any bond line issues with them? pretty much any info would be appreciated.

A little info on the purchase
complete boat with trailer newly rebuilt 454bbc with merlins. dominator carb, moderate cam. the builder is in corona not sure of the shop but hes said the build marine race motors and regularly race drag boats. ill be paying 8k for this deal if anyone has some info or maybe able to tell me to run the other way all would be greatly appreciated.

Nothing wrong with that”Hot rods, custom cars and motorcycles kept me out of gangs growing  up and high caliber weapons saved my life in desert shield/ storm . Time well spent if you ask me . Welcome back to this addiction we call jet boating  LOL peace “”
