Title: New Guy Here
Post by: Undersoul02 on April 09, 2014, 10:22:13 AM
New guy here! Ryan’s my name and I have been a lurker for a long time but haven’t made an account. I figured I might as well start one now. At this point I don’t have a boat of my own, been using dad’s, but I’m on the hunt for one.  I have been around boats and the river since before I can remember. Some of the best memories I have are of the river. Sitting on my dad’s lap driving the boat, getting up on a single ski for the first time at the age of 6, sitting in the front of the boat thinking we were doing a 100mph but probably more like 25 or 30 (lol), floating down the river for hours with family and friends and the best memory of all taking my own son for the first time this past year. I have wanted a jet boat for as long as I can remember and now that I have my own family it’s time to leave “dad’s” boat and get my own. I can’t wait to make some more memories and meet some of you guys out on the water.

Ryan

Welcome aboard Ryan. I'm new to the site this year, guess you could say I'm logging on here as much as the wife does Facebook! Lol  Boats are getting overpriced this time of year so don't jump off Dad's too soon. 😉
See you around 🍻

I love the single ski! The lake in the back ground is Bass lake. We went with the whole family last summer. It was fun but not a great lake to ski on. You can only be on the lake from 8 am to 8 pm. As soon as the whistle sounds the lake is a tubers dream and a skiers nightmare!  :banghead: And yes that is my wife and kid.

Look for a gray chevy truck with a white Bahner sticker in the window and that's me  8) haha

You might get lucky and find someone willing to trade their boat for your RZR..

I've thought about the trade deal. It's something that I might be going towards in the real near future. Oh and if you see some dude honking and waving hello at you it's probably me! haha  Black GMC Sierra

Do the trade thing that's what I did. Took me about 6 mo to find the right on. Be picky about it. Looked at a lot of junk before I found the right one. Traded my bike for this beast!!

Nice boat! Did you trade the bike for the boat and cash or just a straight up trade?

Here's what I'm trying to sell.

Welcome man I'm new as well, lesson I learned buying a boat bring someone who knows. I'm now having to rebuild the motor but I'm cool with that.

As far as selling that RZR try Race-desert.com dezertrangers.com for more socal people also trades are big.

Straight trade. I didn't have near as much in the bike as he did in the boat. Couldn't be happier!!

Ya It's on utvunderground, race-dezert and a couple other places. Sucks you have to rebuild the motor but at least you'll know what you've got now. Thanks for the welcome.

Welcome!!  I traded a built baja bug with no motor/trans for my boat a few months ago and couldn't be happier!  I still have to tie up a few loose ends before she's ready for water but hopefully she'll be there SOON  haha

Welcome to the addiction, I also had to move off "dad's" boat. The cooler part is I'm faster than he is now! Muhahaha

This time of year boat prices start going through the roof, everyone thinks they have pure gold! Like said above look a lot and be very picky! A trade has worked more than once, plus that looks like a pretty nice side by side, bet you can get a nice boat for that.

Welcome to SCJB.

Are you looking for a cruiser or bubble deck style Bahner? Both are good looking boats.

Thanks for all the welcomes guys! Just some info, Bahner would be my first choice and I like the look of bubble deck boats. I'd go with Hallett, Eliminator, Miller. I for sure am looking for a full stringer boat, split bowl and BBC.

Lake Norman is awesome. Was there in 04 for the Robby Gordon double duty tour. Ended up towing Robby on his air chair behind his boat.

Right! I want something that I can put the family in and cruise, ski and float with. But, that I can also do a guys weekend with and run hard. Low 80's is what I'm looking for at this point. I know the baners can get those number with a decent built motor.

I know right where that picture was taken. Had some friends fly out from Whittier this past weekend and took them to the rusty rudder in the boat to drink lunch.

Tell Jeremy Patrick said word up if you see him.

I sold my Kawi, bought a 94 21' Ultra bbc jet then missed the ski and bought a 701 Superjet.

If you're ever out this way again hit me up. Just bought a house right by the lake. Congrats on the rugrat! It's been a while since these days.

This is you right?
