Just jumped in and joined the jetboat club, I'm new to jetboats but not the performance engine side of drag cars so for me its a win win situation. Hope to meet up some of you around here. Me and the misses will be out this weekend possibly at Pirates Cove or up and down the river. Just bought a 1978 Southwest T body with a Chevy 454 which has been my dream boat for a while now. The boat is in excellent shape and needs nothing, for now.

Welcome to SCJB ;D
Good looking Southwind
A few of us will be in the Needles/Laughlin area this weekend. Don't know of anyone doing Parker this weekend.

I never seen a southwind like that, deeper vee. Looks like she handles chop.
My pop's first boat was an 18' sw, but would look like a wafer next to that.

I hear it's gonna be a block party on A row at Echo. Lots of homeowners and friends coming out.

That sounds like a blast. I'd have to find that area, I have no idea. We went there last year and stayed at some camp site that was on the river and drove our waverunners from dam to dam. I heard there's a like a block of houses that just float? Dunno? Looking forward to taking the boat out but after hearing about many guys on here sinking their boats I'm now sorta nervous. What the hell do you do if sink your boat? Crack open a beer and stare at the bubbles? Who would you even call?

Welcome to havasu and to the boards

Haven't seen any go down for a while. Pay attention to your surroundings and you'll be fine. Water depth is mostly 6' to 30' deep. Close to middle is always good. If you understand water flow in a river it's easy to see where the channel is. This is mostly the 30' deep area. Had a bass boat years ago and graphed the entire strip.
I guess if there's a plus when your boat sinks in the river it's shallow :screwy:
