Title: New impeller for high RPM jet boats....
Post by: GT Jets on May 06, 2012, 09:57:34 PM
Naw....Not even close..   :o

We did a tear down on a 250 ton York Centrifugal water chiller and thought you blokes would like to see the impeller...

This badboy spins at an unbelievable 16,000 RPMS and pumps refrigerant gas to chill water to be used for cooling a building...Pretty cool if you are a nerd  like me.

She's about 18" in diameter, the low speed impellers like in a large Trane CVHF are about 3' in diameter but only turn 3,600 RPM. But there are two, sometimes three of them... :o

My job is so cool..... 8)
