This is my first post to say hello to everyone and show off my first Jet boat. Just a little bit about me. I'm 32 Years old and I am from Bristol, Tn. I am currently stationed at Fort Bragg. I have been serving in the Army for almost 13 years now and Im about to be medically retired. I'm a diesel mechanic by trade.
Now about the boat:
It is a 1974 Horizon and it has a 429 or 460 in it. I think it is a 460 but the guy that sold it to me swears up and down its a 429. It has a mild cam and i think thats about it. I don't really know much about the boat or even jet boats. So I'm ready to learn.
Thank you,
Jason

Clean looking boat, if I remember right the cobra motors are 429's but then again it's easy to swap valve covers. What pump you got on that thing. I like the forward reverse handle :)

Hey guys thanks you for the complements and 80mpnpls thanks for the advice but I do know the difference in the two motors I just haven't had time to yank the motor and pull the pan.
Big Johnson yeah I can't wait to make it back up that way. I was able to make up to Jordan 1 weekend last summer but the water was so choppy.
Thanks everyone

I love seeing boats that have been well cared for and you've got a beauty! Congrats, summers as you previously knew them .... are over. I was in your flip-flops 2 years ago and now only look back to see if my son is still on the tube. 8). Safe boating.
