I just picked this up on Thursday. Has all parts except a motor. And I need to paint the floor. Gonna try and get it done before summers over.

thanks. I traded my 21ft cruiser for it. I'm not gonna do anything special to it. Just clean it up and polish everything and get it on the water. My daycruiser ran but it wasn't the prettiest boat lol.

Congrats! That tunnel should be quick.
I don't know how if you're aware of this, but that hull is similar to a CP tunnel. CP tunnels have a reputation of being sketchy on shutdown. A lot of CP tunnels that I've seen on the forums have extensions on the outside of the front of the tunnels. I think CP actually built these extensions into the mold.
Here's a link that I found about it.
http://www.performanceboats.com/jet-boats/89570-texas-tunnel-resurrection.html (http://www.performanceboats.com/jet-boats/89570-texas-tunnel-resurrection.html)
People make these tunnels work, just with a little modification
Don't mean to mean to be a downer, just wanted to make sure your aware that's all.
Good luck with the build.

Have you ever used rustoleum before? Just wondering because I also need to paint the floor in my boat but I want it to last and if rustoleum does the trick it could save me money

i personally haven't but my cousins build a lot of boats and that's what they told me to do. I just asked him and he said it lasts for a pretty long time. This is what I used. But gloss black.

i just scuffed it up with 60 grit and sanded the Peeling parts smooth and cleaned it up and rolled it on. Let it dry then rolled it again. It was my first time doing it and I think it came out pretty good.

Not to be a downer, but that stuff will never last. i had it in my first boat and it all chipped and got messed up in 3 trips. skuff it up well and put a clear coat over it and it will last a bit longer.

Buy a cheap da sander and a roll of 320 paper for it and you will have it sanded in 20 mins then clear it

I agree with jake to much flex and movement on a boat plus I'd get ahold of jack at mpd if you plan on putting some decent hp to this there great boats but have issues on shit down if you don't drive em thru the back door. He can sell you or instal a set of pods that will help the boat out jmo

Yeah I have agree here. It's just my opinion but, you couldn't pay me to drive a cp or Texas tunnel. Some of the most dangerous boats ever built. Every person I know that has owned one has been tossed out of them. With that being said.
Get with jack at MPD and get the pods on there and a jet-a-way/ pop off if you plan on putting a good amount of hp.
The "shit"down that Justin mentioned hahaha
