Title: New wheels
Post by: Brad @ SCJB on November 16, 2007, 12:03:22 AM
So it was my bday and all today....big three oh.  ::)  :o  ;)

I went down and picked up a present for myself. I have been eyeball'n this minibike for a few weeks and finally went down and checked it out....fell in love with it and brought back some childhood memories of when I had one when i was about 12-13.

[attachimg=1]

[attachimg=2]

[attachimg=3]

[attachimg=4]

it needs some minor work...forks straightened out, new tires, paint, kickstand, etc....has a 5ph honda motor on it and is pretty damn quick.

a guy i went to grade school with and raced bmx against used to race the speedway at the fairgrounds in victorville.....one day he just didnt come back to class....bike caught in the middle of his drift around the turn and shot straight into the wall....broke his back in several places.

enough about speedway......back to the minibikes....

i ordered a new seat for mine this morning. i busted it climbin the hill in parker on the north side of the pits thanksgiving weekend.....bike made the hill climb fine, but my ass bouncing on the seat busted the thin ass plywood under it. i think im gunna make some seat rails for this next one.

Saw one at the Monterey fairgrounds years ago actually climb the outside wall in turn 3 and went all the way up a 10' wall and over on top of a race trailer, the rider was somewhat disoreinted and was looking all over the infield for his bike.

My favorite to watch are those animals that ice race, we're talking serious issues... :screwy:
