I just bought a 69 weimans project and plan on having it done for the upcoming season. This is my first jet boat so I might ask some dumb questions, but I'm looking forward to cruisin Havasu and Parker and any other spots I don't know about yet.

Taco'd "a person or people that show up with one lake lice and a family of 50 and cram 3 people at a time on it with no disregard to boating rules or ethics. Usualy crap in toilets and throw shit paper in trash cans. Hang out at the boat ramp like its a swimming hole. Have zero insurance on anything they own and dont give two shits less about your property."

WOW! that's pretty wild. Mine is just paint though...The original gel was purple and silver flake. I would like to figure out how to get the paint off and see what that old gel looks like. any ideas?

im sticking with the small block for now. i already have lots of small block stuff so it should be an easy rebuild. I'm having a hell of a time finding some used headers though...

Sand paper takes paint off pretty easy .
Hit the bulky stuff with a sander and the tight stuff by hand .

Dont worry , someone will tell you how to do it correctly later .  ;D

I'm having a hell of a time finding some used headers though...

Check with Tom at JBP, I think I remember him saying he had a couple sets of small block headers available.

JPB Thanks for the welcome. Assuming this is Tom. I heard you might have some used small block OT headers over there...Let me know I don't want to have to build my own...I'm also gonna need some pump rebuild stuff but it's not apart yet so I'll have to get back to you on that stuff...Thanks
