Title: newbie intro

hey im jeff I live in Washington state neer seattle in a town named mountlake terrace  been into boats hotrods motorcycles
all my life born into it. Im a mechanic for a profession wanted to join site for information  and learning being that im new to jet boats
ive allways have had inboard outboard boats. Im in the process of putting a bigger badder motor in my 71 skagen  388 stroker
and also have the 12jc unit off the back of boat as well as intake off bottom which is what brings me here ...what kind of sealant is used
to mate it back together to bottom of boat.... thanx for taking me aboard to your site...jeffrey

Welcome to SCJB  ;D

What you are looking for is "Sea Goin' Poxy Putty".   Do a Google search and it'll bring up several suppliers that carry it and several posts about using it.

thanks for the info ...how much is it gonna take to reseal intake grate .  .pint   quart  ???? its 2 parts so its gonna double rite..thanx jeffrey

I also had trouble setting my avatar! guess its a newbie thing :) hope to see your posts along with all the great info this site has to offer!
